The greatest season in Indiana University Baseball history came to an end with the first shutout in the 65 games of 2013, dropping a 1-0 decision to #3 Oregon State (52-12). Indiana concludes the season with an overall mark of 49-16 and the first College World Series appearance in school history.

Indiana track and field closed saw action open at the USA Jr. and Sr. Championships on Wednesday, as freshman Stephen Keller competed in the junior men's decathlon. Keller finished the day in 10th place with 3,477 points.

Aulani Sinclair tallied 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars in a 98-86 comeback win over the national team of Hungary on June 18. Sinclair, an Indiana women's basketball graduate, is in the midst of an 11-game tour of China with a group of 12 former student-athletes from the United States.

The USA Track and Field Championships and Athletics Canada Championships are set for action this week in Des Moines, Iowa and Moncton, New Brunswick respectively this weekend. Eleven athletes with IU ties will compete in senior championships, looking to land a spot in the IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia in August. Five current and future Hoosiers will also compete as juniors.

Indiana Baseball (49-15) suffered its first loss of the College World Series when Mississippi State's late-inning push gave the Bulldogs (50-18) a 5-4 win. A three-run eighth erased the Hoosiers' lead and advanced MSU into the four-team bracket finals on Friday. Meanwhile, Indiana is now set to battle Oregon State (51-12) in a Wednesday afternoon elimination game.

Hoosier Baseball ousted the Louisville Cardinals (51-13) in Indiana's first ever College World Series appearance, grinding out a 2-0 win. The CWS victory improves Indiana's overall season record to 49-14, 6-0 in the NCAA Tournament and 3-1 versus Louisville in 2013. The triumph also tilts the all-time series versus Louisville in favor of IU, 22-21.

For the first time in IU history, two head coaches were named National Coach of the Year in their respective sports in the same school year. Baseball coach Tracy Smith was named National Coach of the Year on Saturday, June 15, by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, while head soccer coach Todd Yeagley was named National Coach of the Year in the fall.

The Indiana University baseball team (48-14) is headed to Omaha to compete in the NCAA College World Series from June 15-26. Indiana begins their quest for a national championship Saturday night versus Louisville at 7 pm CT/8 pm ET live on ESPN.

Indiana women's basketball will have two incoming freshmen showcasing their talents this weekend as a part of the Indiana-Kentucky Girls Basketball All-Star series. Sheridan, Ind., native Jennifer Anderson will suit up for the Indiana All Stars as Richmond, Ky., native Larryn Brooks will play for Kentucky.
